Why do check the temperature inside an electrical enclosure?
As we know, the average life of electrical and electronic components is greatly reduced if the temperature and humidity inside the cabinet are not adequately controlled. Thermal control systems, such as those in the Orangis range, especially when connected to a ventilation, cooling or heating systems, maintain optimal climatic conditions and greater energy efficiency.
The Orangis series thermostats switch on a filter unit or a conditioning unit or switch off a heater, if the temperature exceeds the maximum levels indicated. They are available with normally open (NO), normally closed (NC) or change over contacts. We recommend to place them in the upper part of the cabinet, usually the warmest one.
Orangis Twin Thermostats
The Orangis twin thermostats integrate two devices (which can be activated independently) in one compact unit and allow simultaneous operation of heating, cooling or signaling devices.
Fandis Orangis hygrostats operate the heaters to maintain the relative humidity level (RH) above the dew point, preventing condensation on the electrical components installed inside the cabinet. It’s advisable to place them in the lowest and most humid part of the electrical panel, or near the most sensitive to condensation electronic devices.

The Orangis range is not just control of temperature and humidity, but total control of the enclosure. For this reason, in the same range, there are flashing safety devices and limit switches, which guarantee the safety of the technician during maintenance.

Orangis Flash Devices guarantee maximum safety during inspection and maintenance of electrical panels or cabinets. They allow, in fact, to prevent accidents by alerting the technician, with flashing lights, that the electrical system is active. Thanks to the possibility of integration with auxiliary contacts, such as limit switches or additional interlock, it’s possible to control the internal electrical power supply when the door is opened, depending on whether it’s needed to deactivate or restore it.
Orangis limit switches
The limit switches are used to guarantee safety during maintenance work inside the electrical enclosure. These devices, which are applied to the frame of the panel, allow to switch on the lamps, switch off the fan or heater or switch off the power supply in general when opening or closing the door. They are available with different drive heads and contact units.
