It’s a season full of news here in Fandis! This month we present a revolution in Fucsis family, the range of appliances born from the temperature and humidity regulation need inside electrical panels.
As insiders know well, a factor that may adversely affect the operation of an electrical panel is condensation. This phenomenon occurs when the temperature drops rapidly to the “dew point”, i.e. the temperature at which the percentage of liquid contained in the air starts to condense. The formation of these droplets of water, of course, can damage the electronic devices contained within.
To avoid the condensation we need to maintain the temperature within the framework of few degrees above the dewpoint temperature, through the installation of one or more anti-condensation heaters, such as those present in our Fucsis range.
The innovation that you will find in our heaters is the new aluminum heat sink, with a larger dispersing surface, inside which are housed the “PTC” heating elements, electronic components formed from a polycrystalline ceramic with the ability to raise their resistance until the particular “Curie point” is reached, corresponding to the passage of the only energy needed to keep the element at the set temperature.
In this way, the anti-condensation heater, once connected to power, it leads to a higher temperature, and so, due to the particular shape of the finned heat sink, produces a heat exchange between the air and the heater.
To ensure a range of products adapted to our clients needs, the “PTC package” is designed in a modular concept, offering the possibility of composing the package by entering the appropriate type and number of heating elements, during the assembly phase, and selecting the proper wiring as needed (with output cable, with terminal or ventilated). Furthermore, you can choose to equip the heater with a plastic casing o in place of the usual aluminum.
A further substantial difference compared to the series will be found in the current models with terminal block, currently produced with screw terminals: the new elements will be equipped with a quick conductor clamp and the installer can then make connections without the use of any tool, but only by pressing the appropriate buttons on the products.
